In the last couple of years, menopause has become an increasingly hot topic, with the Equality of Human Rights Commission publishing updated guidelines for employers earlier in 2024, outlining responsibilities and obligations.
Educating staff was one of the key recommendations which came out of this report, and as far as women experiencing menopause themselves, research tells us the more they know & understand, the better their lived experience is, plus it’s only ever going to be a win:win when partners, family and colleagues are able to offer practical support to women, both at work and home.
Where menopause is concerned, the phrase “Knowledge is power” has never been so pertinent as it is now.
Perimenopause & menopause come with huge hormonal shifts which can influence a woman’s confidence, concentration, productivity, alertness, efficacy, motivation, anxiety, mood, ability to articulate, and many many other aspects. This can – and does – have profound effects on a woman’s physical, emotional and mental health, and her attendance and performance in the workplace.

By far my most popular introductory workshop, this 60 min presentation provides attendees with a clear understanding of perimenopause & menopause, with a brief overview of key hormonal interactions, as well as highlighting common symptoms, and management strategies: what the research supports and what options there are for women.
Recorded webinar replay is available to purchase for personnel who are unable to attend a live in-person or online session.

With over 25 years working as a Women’s Health Physiotherapist, Nutrition Coach & Women’s Wellness Coach, I’m well placed to support women, corporations and organisations in improving their knowledge and experience of menopause, either in person or via secure video links, and I regularly provide workshops on menopause & female health, as well as running a local non-profit menopause support group, and online menopause & midlife group; Managing Midlife.
